Dr. Ellis offers the following restorative dentistry solutions at our dental office in Fort Worth, TX:
Dental crowns are most often used to repair damaged and broken teeth that are otherwise healthy, but can’t be restored with a simple filling. The crown is shaded to match your existing teeth, and fits over the original tooth to provide protection and stability. The dental crown procedure can also be used for chipped tooth repair or to change the shape, size, or color of the teeth.
We offer custom lab-fabricate dental crowns crafted from the following durable, tooth-colored materials:
- All Porcelain
Mira Vista Dental will complete your dental crown in two easy visits to our office. First, you’ll come in to have the site prepared and an impression made for the laboratory. We’ll send you home with a temporary crown, and when your brand new, customized crown is ready, we’ll invite you back to have it placed permanently.
Tooth-Colored Dental Fillings
Dr. Ellis has not placed a single mercury amalgam filling since he opened Mira Vista Dental in 1998. Instead of the old style of unattractive metal fillings, he color-matches the exact shade of your teeth with his state-of-the-art composite dental filling material. No one will be able to tell that you have had a cavity or white fillings. Many of our patients even request to have their old, amalgam fillings replaced with our safer, tooth-colored filling materials!
With dental bonding, Dr. Ellis is able to beautify and strengthen the missing parts of teeth with expertly shade-matched, tooth-colored materials. By covering chips or gaps in the teeth, bonding can help fortify your teeth as well as improve your smile, boosting your health and confidence at the same time. This procedure is so comfortable that many of our patients don’t require any numbing of the tooth.
A dental bridge is the most common and least expensive way for patients to replace a missing tooth (or two!) more affordably. A dental bridge connects the teeth directly adjacent to the missing tooth with a fused “bridge." Mira Vista Dental offers bridges that are permanently fixed using implants and traditional bridges, which can be used in cases where bone loss is too severe to support an implant.
After your first appointment, we’ll send you home with a temporary bridge while we wait for your custom one to be created. When it’s ready, you’ll come back in to have it placed permanently.
With his implant dentistry training and experience, Dr. Ellis is able to replace lost or missing teeth with state-of-the-art dental implants that look, feel, and function just like natural teeth. An implant consists of a titanium post (“root”) permanently anchored to your jawbone. Then a solid dental crown called a restoration is placed just below the gum line to complete the dental implant procedure, leaving you with a smile that looks natural and feels comfortable!
We offer the following dental implant systems:
- Single Dental Implant
- Hybridge Dental Implants
- Hybrid Dental Implants
- Mini Dental Implants
Patients looking for a cost-effective and aesthetically pleasing solution to fix gaps in the teeth can consider removable dentures. Whether you’re missing one tooth or all of your teeth, dentures can fill out the rest of your smile. Dr. Ellis always takes the time and care to understand the needs of his patients, and will ensure your custom dentures are designed to fit your needs!
Root Canal Therapy
A root canal procedure removes infected areas of the soft, inner section of the tooth, also known as the pulp. When these areas are infected, they can cause significant pain, and can even cause the whole tooth to die. To keep your smile healthy and functional, Dr. Ellis might recommend a gentle root canal to save the tooth, allowing it to heal properly and continue to strengthen.
Dr. Ellis works to detect when root canal therapy is needed before the infection has a chance to spread through the bloodstream to the rest of the body.
